The convertible register is for all softtop, cabriolet or convertible BMW models.
The main current focus is towards the E21, E30, E36 and E46 models as the historic, O2 and Z registers cater very well for the other models at this time.
These models include the E21, E30 and E36 Baur models that are becoming increasingly rare but were an important part of BMW convertible motoring history.
Unlike the Regional sections, we have members all over the country; many of our members with E21 and E30 vehicles use these cars more in the summer, which although we try can make organising events that involves all members more difficult.
As a register we have the benefit of owners with a wide range of knowledge spread over different models, who are enthusiastic, and willing to help new and existing members. If we don’t know we will know someone who does.
We welcome M powered although there is an M Power register, but also cater for car such as the E30 Motorsport, which is not eligible for the M Power register. There is a new Alpina register, but we welcome Alpina, Hartge or Snitzer car if they wish to be involved in the convertible register.
We do organise events and try for obvious reasons to do these in the summer months.
Advice on buying and running all convertible models is offered, whatever the year, model or condition, as members you have the right to enjoy the same benefits.
We have negotiated preferential rates with parts suppliers, and as a registered member this will save your subscription and membership fees, and make you feel part of the club.
As car club members you will also be encouraged to be involved in regular activities nationally or regionally. As a register we have a stand at the National Festival (August), and at the Donnington Show (October). Other events will be notified through the magazine, via email and through the website.
We intended to list suppliers who offer discounts, but it is best to go via a register contact for best advice.
