With a good percentage of the GB Club's membership dispersed over some of the most beautiful rural areas of the country, stretching from Dorset to West Sussex and from Wiltshire, Berkshire, Surrey through Hampshire to the Isle of Wight there are abundant locations and places of interest ideally suited to the Region's activity programs. Apart from the innumerable sites of historic interest and stately homes aplenty, there are those places like Goodwood and Thruxton where motor sport history has been made (and Brooklands is only just across the border).

Poole is home to Penske Racing and, if it's the history of transportation you're after then Wessex has Beaulieu, Bovington Tanks and New Milton Motorcycles.
BMW (GB) also has its headquarters within the Wessex Region at Bracknell. The Wessex Region covers Berkshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire, Isle of Wight and West Sussex.

By the end of the first millennium, Winchester was well established as the centre of the universe and Wessex the portion of it that really mattered. Alfred the Great saw to that and, although man has been to the moon and back, nothing much has changed since.

In Britain, counties have disappeared; elsewhere in the world whole countries have vanished but Wessex still stands. The Wessex region of the BMW Car Club proudly maintains that tradition of survival.
